I've got the blues

I've wanted to see the Blue Man Group since I saw them in a special on TV. Last Sunday, I did.

I enjoyed the percussion, the lighting and staging, the comedy, and the audience participation. The show was well worth the money and passes the acid test: I would go see them again next time I'm in Vegas.

Have any of you seen them? What do you think?

No photography during the show, but they came to the lobby after for a photo op.

  1. This is next on the DW and my list, since Danny G. died. In the last couple years we have seen 2 circe de s. shows and penn and teller at the Rio, all great. Also, Louie Anderson, not as good. In Minneapolis, we just saw Chazz Palmentieri (sp) who is touring with his broadway "A Bronx Tale." Rumor is after the tour, he will set up shop in Vegas. Not new material, but a great one-man show.

Have to brag: Got Doyle Brunson's autograph at Bellagio and then proceeded to lose only $60 in their main poker room, not Bobby's room. So nervous I kept tipping over my stacks. My first live NLHE, at Bellagio, no less.

  2. I actually saw them in Vegas, if nothing else then for a fleeting moment.

They were entertaining the crowds at the starting line for the Las Vegas Marathon in 2006. (I did the half marathon, btw).

So I was in fact almost as close to them as you.

But if you ask me what their music sounds like, I have no idea.

I think it was something with drums, but I was mainly focused on the stampede happening behind me.

@mo: just a quick trip for some poker. Poker not so good, but the rest was fun.
