When will they learn?

The guy in the shot above limped in. Several of us called. After the flop, he basically went all in. Doesn't that sound like an amateur holding A-A? I had a little surprise for him on a hand I probably wouldn't have played to a good-sized raise pre-flop.

Also saw this. There were about 20 players left. It folded to the button who keyed in the chat box: "shortstack" then went all in. Is that a tell or what? Yes, he was short. He had around 2700 where the blinds were 300/600/75. The big blind foolishly called him only to see A-A. No kidding!

  1. There's something ironic about a guy continuing to play on a site with a history of stealing money from its players writing a blog post with the title, "When will they learn." I wonder that about you every time you post something indicating that you still swim in that particular sewer.

  2. @Rakewell: thanks for the comment.

I've never had any trouble with UB. I play such small stakes that I can't believe I've ever been cheated. I've withdrawn money 5 or 6 times and had a check within 7 or 8 days. Now if you want to talk about the principle of the thing, then that's another story.

I'm guessing that all the sites have their warts. I have a bridge friend who I saw in Orlando. He has started playing poker online again. He tried to withdraw money from Poker Stars. The withdrawal failed. He contacted their service dept and was told they'd give him an additional $25 and to try again. He tried again, same thing. Called and they promised another $25. Hmm.

He knows I've played more online that he has -- he wanted to know if he should be worried. I told him probably not, but who knows.

What I'm saying is that, yes, UB people are scumbags. My take is that other sites have scumbaggery, too.

  3. Hopefully, they won't (learn).
I think I am going to try a withdraw from Stars just to see if I can get the $25 bonus.

  4. I solve this by having the other players withdraw my money for me.
