Put me in, Coach

Above: The Baseball Hall of Fame is in Cooperstown NY.

If you're a baseball fan, the National Baseball Hall of Fame is exciting. I spent this afternoon there. It's jam-packed with goodies -- something for everyone.

Cooperstown NY is out in the Tules. I was sure I was lost, even though Garmin acted like she knew what she was doing. After I arrived and confirmed I really was in the right place, I found the town charming.

The museum was packed and so I was glad I was able to visit before the summer horde of tourists arrived.

Above: Babe Ruth and Ted Williams -- it doesn't get any better than that.

Above: One of the many displays is a locker for each of the major league teams with memorabilia, both past and present.

  1. You ought to give retirement lessons!

  2. That area of NY is quite nice. Fond memories from the mid-eighties.

  3. We've got the Texas Sports HOF here in Waco. It has a ton of interesting things from all sports, but I'm sure it doesn't hold a candle to the Baseball HOF.

I can't wait to get there myself one day :)

  4. I'll bet you were in 7th heaven. That's where they play baseball!

Fun times. Glad you got a chance to see it. Lucky, too, I think. Can't always trust Garmin. Our GPS once tried to drive us into the Atlantic Ocean!

  5. When they brought in the leather straps, I grabbed them and beat the dentist and assistant with them and they never tried that again. :-)

  6. i've never been but i think i could spend several days going through every square inch of the place, thanks for sharing.
