Friday in Vegas

I played in the deep stack tournament at the Golden Nugget today. Lost a huge pot (~31,000 where the blinds were 600/300/50) to a guy on a flush draw that left me crippled and I was out shortly after that. Stuff happens.

BWoP came by and gave me a hug, so the tournament was a success, afterall!!

You have to be careful in tournaments like this one. They let some shady characters play. The guy shown below was in disguise -- no ballcap turned around backwards, lol.

Lightnight36 played in the same tournament today that I did.

I'm flying back to Memphis Saturday. Even though I was unsuccessful at the tables, I had a blast.

Photos taken with my P&S.

  1. Too bad. I'm getting killed in the cash games by A-rag and flush draws. How come I can't beat the morons like VJ. Have a safe trip

  2. Hopefully that's your negative swing for the summer... Lightning has a good table presence...

  4. One cannot be too careful when playing with characters without backward ballcaps!

Re your comment about hair: Someone told me the other day that I was losing hair in the middle of my head which I think was a bald-faced lie!

  5. I should have made a last longer bet with you! Talk about being a big dog in a hand ...

  6. I don't think it's fair that you don't get tickets for the car raffle. If you'll send me the name and address of the person responsible, I'll be happy to write them a nasty letter on your behalf. I'll probably have to use your name, though, if you don't mind.

  7. You may be just a big kid at heart, but I think they'd probably ask for your ID and that would be a dead-giveaway...well, that and all the gray hair! :-)

  8. Sounds like you were having a good time! To answer your question on my site, we do get some water from The Colorado River but mostly we are using ground water. Yes, there are times when there are water shortages but it only affects yard watering and car washing. We've never had to ration household water.

  9. Thank you for your congratulations. We celebrate our 55th in Tampa Bay yesterday and last evening. I posted a night shot of Tampa Bay on Florida Fotos this afternoon. Had a great time! The only problem is I don't know if Lois can stand me for another 55 years!
