Poker is moving along. Played in a $135 at the Golden Nugget noon tournament yesterday and bombed out fairly early. I forget how, but I lost chips early, then went all in over a limp and a raise with A-K. The limper called and the raiser called. One also had A-K and the other Q-Q and the queens held.

There was another tournament at 3 that had only four or five tables with a $105 buy-in (counting the one rebuy -- everyone did that). I did manage to make the final table with a big stack. When we were four-handed, I had 105K while others had 80K, 55K and 50K. The short stack was anxious to chop, but I said no. I had twice as many chips and was willing to play, although the blinds were 5000/10000 with no antes. One of the short stack offered me $85 off his share, so I agreed and we ended right there. Not a big cha ching, but every little bit helps.

Not sure what I'm playing tomorrow, and might not play at all. I don't want to enter the WSOP event Friday tired.

  3. Knowledge is a force multiplier in smaller tournament and Dave knows how to exploit that very well. Now is the time for all of us to cross fingers and toes for his luck/success Friday -- with a tournament size that adds a big helping of luck to the mix.

May the force be with you!
