One of my favorite columns in the Card Player magazine (see scan above May 1, 2013 issue) is called "The Rules Guy." He told of this bad beat:
"My friend got it all in on the bubble with pocket kings to find himself squaring off against aces. Flop is king-king-rag. Jubilation! Turn: Ace. River: Ace. That, dear reader, is sick. So, so sick, that he didn't play for nearly a whole day afterwards!"
Jubilation! Turn: Ace. River: Ace.

Blessed is the Poker Fairy. (But not by all present.)
Too bad it wasn't Rob. That post/dirge would have been book length
Well first of all,the guy didn't play for nearly a DAY after that? Seriously? If that's not enough to make you give up poker for LIFE, I dunno what is. A month, at least.
DeleteAnd thanks for thinking of me, Ken. But the post only would have been book length if I published it BEFORE I jumped off the top of the Stratosphere.
Wow. That's really something! I've had days like that when I couldn't take pictures for a day or so! :)
