Summer holidays and baseball go together
I decided to head to the ballpark today for an afternoon game. The St. Louis Cardinals' AAA club is the Memphis Rebdirds -- they were playing the Albuquerque Isotopes (LA Dodgers farm club). Isn't AutoZone Park an attractive venue?
Above: I had a great seat just behind home plate. Can you see the wire fence? The Redbirds' pitcher was Evan MacLane and he pitched eight shutout innings.
Above: Ruben Gotay takes his "hacks."
Above: Rockey Redbird is the team mascot. It must be hot in that uniform.

You must have fired up the SLR for those shots!
ReplyDelete@Crash: The last time I used my DSLR, it was indoors and I adjusted my white light balance. When I finished, I forgot to set it back to automatic. The two bottom photos are slightly blueish because of this. (I didn't realize until I got home.) The top two were taken with my P&S and came out better than the DSLR, imo.
ReplyDeleteIt's dead simple to correct the color balance with any photo processor. I use the freeware Gimp, which is like Photoshop.
ReplyDeleteI use automatic white balance both indoors and outdoors - seems to work.
The 3rd photo is great.
Great series. Excellent photography! Love all the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteAlways love the great shots at the ball park
