Summer bridge championship kicks off

What do you get when you bring the best bridge players in the world to the Big Easy? You get the 2010 Summer North American Bridge Championship which has begun. For the next 11 days, there will be lots of bridge played at the NABC in New Orleans.

If you aren't going, you can follow along by reading the Daily Bulletins here.

You can also follow the Spingold Knockouts -- perhaps the strongest team event in the world -- by Vugraph on BBO.

I am going for the last four days only. I'll be arriving Thursday, July 29. Maybe I'll see you there.

  1. Darn, I'll probably miss this! ;-)

But, I'm sure you will have one heck of a good time! I've never even been to New Orleans...always bypassed it on I-12.

Re Golden Ocala: It is very high class! But very nice. I can't imagine what the property taxes are!

  2. Are you packed yet?

Re your comment on Ocala: It was very don't any cars in the photo but they were whizzing by...big trucks, too. I would try to walk across that street by myself for anything!

  3. I'm "lazy", too...that's why we moved to a villa where the yard is maintained. All we have to do is look at it!

  4. It's in New Orleans?... and do some people play bridge???? hahaha

  5. If I ever get another motorcycle, it will have to be a Harley. I don't like to sit bent over...or maybe it's that at my age I can't sit bent over! :-)

  6. Re Ocala Stud: Yes, there were several jokes there, but notice how careful I was to avoid them!

  7. Hi MOJO! I really appreciate your visits and comments. But shouldn't you be busy packing? ;-)

  8. @Jacob: Leaving Thursday, packing Wednesday evening between online bridge and poker playing, ha.
