In the money

Above: The shot clock tells the story: There were 667 runners who entered Event No. 1, and now there are 39 of us.

Early on I had to lay down A-A on the turn. The villain showed his two pair, and I thought to myself, "Whew, it's lucky I'm a nitty old man. Most players would go broke."

Play resumes tomorrow at 3 p.m. My chip stack is below average, but I have 21 big blinds. This is enough to play regular poker, so let's see what happens.

I was tweeting (my handle is, surprise, memphismojo), but my phone ran low and I didn't have my charger, so I had to quit. I'll try and resume doing this Friday.

There might be updates here.

Above is my favorite photograph to take.

  3. See, I told you the crazy, old, Sicilian lady would show up cheering from the ropes, Jerome ... er, Dave.

Looks like you won't get to play the tournament for today like you thought you might. What a lucky group they are.

  9. Nice! but 600K is still a 20x+ stack.

This is what we all struggle hours for. The envy by all of us is palpable. Enjoy! Make good decisions. Force decisions on the other guy. Two thumbs up.
