On vacation and taking it easy

Above: The Rio is the home of the World Series of Poker.

I took today off, although I played a little online -- only a semi-degenerate, not a full-fledged one. I might not play tomorrow either. If I do well in the WSOP event that starts Friday, I could be playing long hours for three days.

I might tweet for the WSOP, handle is MemphisMojo. I'm not going to tweet as often as some because I find it distracting.

Here's a link to the event at the Caesar's Mega Stack Summer Series tournament in which I finished 6th in a one-day event: click here.

Thanks to all who are leaving comments.

  1. The commenting is definitely the hard part, with the tournament success being the piece of cake... :) I like your plan - rest up and prepare for a long run... I wish you the best of luck!

  2. I don't do twitter, so I will have to rely on your website for news. My wife, Julie, left for Vegas today, but she is there on a full schedule of work with a colleague.

  3. Good luck in your main event :)

It is more interesting following poker players on twitter because you tend to get the important hands/news without all the tedium.

You'd never get the time to tweet at the bridge table since you are involved in far more action, albeit without your own money being at stake!

  4. Will be a nice addition to your total at Hendon Mob. And, shortly, another win to add to that AND a bracelet.

  5. Oh good, I'm glad you'll be tweeting! Even if it's only a quick update on breaks. :) Go, Mojo!

  6. Good luck!
I remember playing online during my time at WSOP also, but it was mostly games that were hard to find live action in like stud/8 or O/8
