Verbal tells

Above: The "cage" is where you purchase buy-in chips. I've also heard that's where you go to pick up your money when you cash, but I wouldn't know about that.

Yesterday, (in Event No. 10 of the 2013 Gulf Coast PokerChampionship) a player was short-stacked. He had 2700 from his original starting stack of 10K chips.

When the blinds were 300/150/25, he said, "I don't have much left. Might as well go all in," and threw his chips in the middle.

My radar was on full alert.

Some dumbass called, and the speech maker turned over A A. Are you surprised?

Folks, it's better to just keep your mouth shut (although it worked this time as some players are oblivious).

  3. The cage has a different meaning in places such as the Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone, Arizona. The cages are private booths in the balcony for watching the show, or for pulling the curtains closed for a different type of entertainment performed by women who worked the cages.

  4. I think I figured this one out. But I want to hear more about your ending up at the cash window!

Nice to hear from you and to know you're keeping busy! Thanks for stopping by L & L Photography!

Also, I think I mentioned the MOJO Grill moved...they're now in a large building formerly at Roadhouse Grill. We're planning to check it out - maybe later this week. I'll take some pictures to see if it's up to your standards or whether you'll have to take action to get you name off their sign! :))
