Vegas photo dump

Above: I could see the Bellagio fountains from my seat as I dined at Eiffel Tower Restaurant.

You can click photos to enlarge.

Above: Ballys was my home for 10 days.

Above: Binion's,where it all started.

Above: Carl Ferris practices safe sax on Freemont Street.

Above: Eye candy -- you can see just about anything on Freemont Street.

Above: Seen on a tee shirt.

Above: The guy in the yellow shirt was thought to be the oldest player in the Seniors Event at 93 years. His son, a spring chicken of 70, also played. If I make it to that age, I hope I'm half as spry as this guy. I looked over at one point and he was getting a backrub from a massage therapist. When he busted out (Level 5), the table gave him a well-deserved ovation.

Above: Final table of Event 17 at the World Series of Poker when play was three-handed.

Bottom photo taken by Oklahoma Johnny's daughter who was the unofficial photographer of the Seniors Event. The rest taken with my point-and-shoot.

  1. Very cool, MOJO! What great fun! I saw that shot of the 93-year old and thought "I wasn't in Las Vegas!"

  2. You're staying in the desert through the Main Event I'm assuming??? Good luck in the Hollywood event and whatever other tables you happen to find in the meantime... ;)

  3. You have captured the essence of Vegas. I look forward to your post from the tournament when you are 93.

  4. fried oreos/twinkies

I didn't try them, but one guy I played poker with did, and he said they were amazing.

  5. I look forward to your post from the tournament when you are 93.

My mom is 93 and still sharp and in good health, so I have the genes. Who knows.

  6. Great pics, Mojo and congrats again!

  7. I just got to wondering: What do you do after Vegas?

  8. @jusdealem: thanks and thank you for your support on twitter.
