On to Day 4

There are 747 players left, according to the shot clock (see below), and 693 will cash. I think the minimum cash is about $18,000. I have 140,000 chips where the blinds are 2000/4000/500. Did I mention that I love to bag and tag?

The deal of the day for me: A player holding Q-Q raised to 7500. I three-bet him from the big blind to 18,100 and he cautiously called. The flop was K-Q-10. I had about 40,000 chips left and shoved. "Do you have aces?" he asked. "I bet you have aces," he said. We both knew the other didn't have A-J because of the three-bet and call pre-flop. Finally, he made the call and I showed him K-K for top set to his middle set. The board ran out cleanly and I had my double up. #Lotsa_run_good

  2. Awesome, Dave! I've been on a week-long biz trip that has been nothing short of hell in a hand basket (three separate broken airplanes just as a start). It was great coming home to this news of you nearing the bubble. And remember: anything less than 3rd place won't be tolerated! ;-)
