Great shots. What lens for the dog? Maybe a tad closer next time, but very fine pics. Like the little girls, too. It's good to practice action shots. What are those great old houses in the background?
Thanks to all who commented. I have a closeup of the dog catching it that I may post later.
@Wolynski: I used my long lens, but obviously wasn't dialed in close enough. It all happened so quickly that I was doing my best not to get rattled. The first try, the dog missed the frisbee. Then, the second toss he caught it.
The houses are in what is called Harbor Town, a part of Memphis that is on a peninsula, and right on the river. They have a river view, so are expensive. When I was looking for a house (a few years ago), I looked there (not on the river, but farther in), but they were out of my price range. There are bluffs, so the houses are safe from flooding, but not safe if we have the big one. (Memphis is right on the New Madrid fault -- in the early 1800s, they had the third largest earthquake in the U.S.)
Dog in the air is a nice catch on your part.
ReplyDeleteIt's remarkable watching the body shapes of the critters change in the various phases of the capture.
ReplyDeleteGreat air dog pic.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the dog...Love dogs that fetch and catch
