Parks are for running

These are from my photo walk with jusdealem on Sunday. We picked a good day. Yesterday, the weather was perfect; today it's raining. I say it's good karma for good people.

The only thing better than running on a beautiful day is running alongside the Mississippi River on a beautiful day.

I took four or five shots of the guy above, and he had his eyes closed in all of them. Must have been jammin' to his iPod, but don't you have to look at some point? I mean seriously.

She's young, but strong and confident (above).

Two young sisters who are two young sisters (above).

"I'm almost too tired to say 'cheese.'"

More photos are coming (You, over there! I heard you groan!). I have a dog chasing a frisbee, a lady flying a kite, and other park stuff -- stay tuned.

Images by MOJO and taken with my Canon. The photo of the first runner was taken at Harbor Town. The other images were shot at Tom Lee Park.

  1. The thing that always seems different about your photos is that you seem to have "it" -- that special eye of the artist. Your photos always look so good.

  3. running with your eyes almost shut is a way of focusing. It takes away some of the boredom of running the same stretch every day. It's also a way to get into a meditative state of mind. Perhaps, that's what he's doing. Or perhaps he's just being weird.

  4. @lightning: Thanks, I'm getting tips from Wolynski.

@Crash: They see this old man coming with a camera, and they laugh.

@joxum: Maybe I need to try that with poker, lol.

  6. For those of you who don't know, kurokitty has gone running for more than 1,000 consecutive days!

I've walked for 1,000 days in a row, does that count?
