Florida in December - tough job but somebody's gotta do it

The The Marriott World Center Resort Orlando (see here) will be the venue for the ACBL Fall North American Bridge Championship.

Brent and I leave tomorrow (Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!) to do the Daily Bulletins, and won't return until Dec. 6. I hope we churn out some good ones. It's fun work, but long hours and I always come home tired from these things.

You can follow them (beginning Friday) if you go here and look for the date.

Above is the logo for the NABC. Don't you think the aligator is cute?

Photos swiped from the ACBL web site.

  1. I look forward to reading the bulletins. With snow about to fall here, unseasonably early, I am looking for a little sunshine!

I do some Brits who are going, not least Europe's top TD, David Stevenson. He may be good for a quote or two.

  3. If you are trying to get sympathy for going to Florida while I watch freezing rain out my window -- forget it, brother!

    Have a great trip!

  5. Sure, you can make FL but not Vegas. We see where your priorities lie.

  6. Thanks to all the well-wishers. Happy Thanksgiving to each of you, too.

@TM: I've noticed the blog bounces around a lot since I last changed my template. I believe the templates use Java to place things. Anyway, I've picked a new blog template - we'll see if this one works better.

  7. Ho, MOJO. Have a good one.

The template is still a bit jerky. But you probably have the right of it.

    See you when you return.

  8. Hey, you're gonna be only an hour away from me. Our weather of late is fantastic - 50s at night, 80s during the day. That can change quickly, of course, but I think you'll enjoy Orlando.

    Happy TG day to you!

  10. That does it! I'm a Marriott customer - even have a number - we're gonna go down here for a couple of days (when it warms up!)...
