SL Cardinals photo dump

Thursday, I traveled to St. Louis to see my favorite team play the San Diego Padres. I don't know what the temperature was, but what a wonderful night for baseball. Even though it was Thursday, and even though the Padres aren't a very good team, there were no empty seats. Cardinal fans love and support their team. Oh, and by the way, they won a thriller 4-3.

Below are a few things I saw. I didn't (for once) take a shot of the field with the Arch in the background. You can check out Bob Crowe's excellent blog (see here) for those images. He was there, too.

Above: The new Busch Stadium has an amazing vibe -- it just feels nice to watch a game there.

Above: This group presented the colors during the national anthem.

Above: I took the Metrolink from Fairview Heights on the Illinois side. Saves fighting the traffic and parking fees.

Above: Stay home and watch the game on TV? Are you kidding me? I was there, baby.

Photos taken with my point-and-shoot.

  2. I'm just guessing, but it appears you had a terrific time and your team won which obviously put you over the top! Your p&s does a fine job with the photos, too! Glad you had fun!
